RACHEL R. MYERS, Associate
EXPERIENCE
Rachel Myers focuses her practice on business and commercial litigation, which includes representation of clients in land use litigation, contract matters, real estate disputes, fraud and business torts, shareholder/partner disputes, employment matters, franchise disputes, and probate contests. She has appeared in state and federal court and has drafted multiple state and federal appellate briefs.
Ms. Myers served on the University of St. Thomas Law Journal as an Associate Editor and as Membership Editor of the editorial board. Her student comment, Pledge Protection: The Need for Official Supreme Court Recognition of Civil Religion, was selected for publication in the Journal’s Spring 2006 issue. Ms. Myers was also a judicial extern in the Spring of 2006 for Judge Heidi S. Schellhas of the Hennepin County District Court (now Judge of the Minnesota Court of Appeals).
Ms. Myers is an active member of Minnesota Women Lawyers, the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Hennepin County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. She is also a member of the University of St. Thomas School of Law Mentor Program and the Alumni Social Committee. Ms. Myers is admitted to practice in the State of Minnesota and in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota.
She graduated magna cum laude from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration, an emphasis in marketing and minor degrees in communications and government.
Rachel R. Myers joined Malkerson Gunn Martin LLP as an associate attorney in March 2010. Prior to joining Malkerson Gunn Martin LLP, she was associated with the law firms of Dady & Garner, P.A. and Krass Monroe, P.A.
