Bradley J. Gunn (1955-2024).  We are sad to announce the passing of our partner, Bradley J. Gunn, who passed away suddenly of cancer on April 2, 2024.  We extend our deepest condolences to his friends, colleagues, family and everyone who loved Brad.  Brad was an exceptional attorney, writer and person.  Brad was a well-respected zoning and eminent domain attorney who, during his tenure with Malkerson Gunn Martin LLP, was professionally recognized as a Super Lawyer, Best Lawyer in America and Lawyer of the Year. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Bradley J. Gunn practices in the areas of eminent domain, land use, and real estate litigation.

TRADE ORGANIZATIONS

Mr. Gunn is a member of the Hennepin County Bar Association (Past Chair, Eminent Domain Committee), Minnesota State Bar Association, and American Bar Association. Mr. Gunn is also a member of the International Right of Way Association and of the Minnesota Eminent Domain Institute (served as President from 2015 - 2019). He has served as a court-appointed condemnation commissioner, and he was a member of the Minnesota Eminent Domain Jury Instruction Guide Committee. Mr. Gunn is co-author of the eminent domain chapter of the Minnesota Practice - Real Estate Law treatise, West Publishing Group. Mr. Gunn has served as an adjunct professor at the University of St. Thomas on condemnation, and is a frequent speaker on condemnation and land use issues to attorney and other professional groups.

PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION

Mr. Gunn has repeatedly been named as a "Super Lawyer" by Minnesota Law and Politics magazine, and included in the "Best Lawyers in America"®. Selected as Best Lawyers 2016 Minneapolis Land Use and Zoning Law "Lawyer of the Year."
